Title: "intercooler cleaning"

 :) hello again
  i am intending to remove my intercooler and give it a good clean out this weekend, so does anyone know the best stuff to use i.e parrafin etc?
car has done 148000 miles and when i bought it the turbo oil seals were going  but the  previous owner had it like that for over a year ,
now its been refurbed have cleaned all turbo pipes ,aircooler ? (bit that the top hose goes to) sorry don't know it proper name ,new airfilter de-cat pipe fitted,egr removed.

i always use parasene, i get it at b+q

I always use petrol,i havent found any thing it cant shift and when you empty it out whats left in there will evaporate,but dont have a fag while doing it :shock:

I used petrol when i did mine, same reason as peasey, what's left will evaporate away. Just make sure it has all evaporated before you put it back on.

I got some pretty evil degreaser from my nlocal factors, with the price of petrol these days..........
