Post by: burgerman on February 12, 2008, 18:12:12
  Righto then - plan B
I have been offerd/to buy a 200 tdi disco complete car, idea being that i can use everything i need to transform mine into a oil burner   I basicly keep the tdi disco till mine is finished than return whats left, this includes engine ,boxes, rads coolers props the whole caboodle,
So --- How hard can it be  :-k

I have 2 weeks off soon and was thinking of doing it then?

OH DEAR BUT We wont go there, if you must have a derv, would it not be easier to just move the bolt on bits from yours onto the derv, converting isnt hard, but surely easier this way.?

The donor car is partially stripped already, and was laid to rest due to rust  :(
other wise i probally would have swaped running gear over,

Maybe i am under estimating the job ? but i reckon if i have the whole donor vehicle, surely it should be ok ??

One of my neighbours did it in a weekend. The donor vehicle was an ex-mud club member's motor ~ had a huge yellow "splat" on the bonnet
