I'd say a bit over priced, I recently sold a 109, with 6 months tax and MOT, for £620 on Eblag. With no MOT, they're practically worthless especially if it's not tax exempt.

Do your self a favour and do a quick search on Eblag just to get a bit of a gauge of the market.

You could do a hell of a lot worse than this http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/LAND-ROVER-series-estate-109-diesel-tax-exempt_W0QQitemZ320378255152QQcmdZViewItemQQptZAutomobiles_UK?hash=item4a98083730&_trksid=p3286.c0.m14&_trkparms=65%3A7%7C66%3A2%7C39%3A1%7C240%3A1318%7C301%3A1%7C293%3A1%7C294%3A50 (I've absolutely no connection with the seller) If I wasn't so broke at teh moment, having just rebuilt the engine in my 101, I'd have a bid myself. at the current price it's an absolute steal.

I miss my 109 a bit and will probably have another one at some point.

Great fun, basic, noisy, uncomfortable but very reliable if you look after it properly and parts cost nothing.  That one on ebay is a bit of a mess, but the galv chassis makes it worth a lot more.  It is worth spending more on a decent one and then using your time and money to keep it that way.

Eactly, there's a bout a grands worth of Galv chassis, new rear doors, parabolic springs, on the back at least, and it's got a jap diesel in it, which as long as it hasn't been ragged too much should give good power and ful economy.  It needs work doing, gearbox rebuild, but that's not a difficult job once you get down to it, or you put a 4 speed rangy box in, (much stronger) and run permenant 4wd as it has about £500 worth of stage one front axle (series 3 axle that has cv joints instead of UJ's) on there and it's tax exempt. Just wish I had the cash to put a bit in myself.

I'd probably sell the stage 1 axle as they are like rocking horse and should help someone get their stage 1 on the road, not many of them about and I love them!
