Title: Wiring LPG on a Flapper EFI system
Post by: Greybeard on May 27, 2006, 15:11:21
Please can someone tell me which wires i need to cut into on a 1989 3.5 efi with flapper injection system. The Haynes manual is wrong and i have checked 3 of them , the wires are located in the drivers footwell. On my 3.9 with hot wire they are the correct yellow colour, on this 3.5 the wires are a completelu different colour.

HELP !!!!!!!!!!   :(  :(  :(  :(

Steve

Sorry it doesnt explain very well does it, the wires i need are the injector cut wires.

Is this sothat the LPG can cut the injectors off? if so my system is installed next to the injector relay (again on a hot-wire).

Have you tried following the pin-out from the ECU?

It is the injector cut out yes. This is where i have the problem as i do not have a wiring diagram showing the correct info. It is on a Flapper system not hotwire.

AFIK you can cut the brown wire with orange tracer off the main
relay under youre seat to isolate the injectors
pop a relay in there so on switching the relay
you cut off the injectors but use the same
feed to open the gas solenoyds
this allows the ecu/fuel pump to remain active
thus keeping a supply of fuel circulating
round the injectors thus keeping em cool.
