I've pulled the plastic moulding off the middle of the bumper since then, and the CB aerial on the roof will be going as soon as I figure out if the new one on the back door works properly.

A decent set of rock sliders and a winch bumper by the looks of it ;)
I suppose these technically isn't a motor vehicle (and they are not all mine either), but last year for one of the modules was to design, build and compete (ultimately resulting in destruction ) a 'Human powered off road vehicle'.
As part of a team of 4, this was what we came up with. Not the most radical of designs maby, though it was tough and effective, particuarly at wheelies :D In fact it was rather a little too good a wheelies
Consideering the rather rushed redesign of some components, its amazing how much abuse it withstood before losing a wheel
(http://i29.photobucket.com/albums/c258/clbarclay/human%20powered/DSCF2687s.jpg)
Despite winning the competion  it wasn't a one one horse race.
You can't knock the Irish for thier inginuety

Though walking up a mound with 7Kg strapped to each leg is easier said than done.....
and like wise is sliding down on your knees on rough ground
Some designs wern't the most stable in ruts
(http://i29.photobucket.com/albums/c258/clbarclay/human%20powered/DSCF2601.jpg)
and some evan more so
Though to the trickcycles favour, it did have a good wading depth, that was untill he gave up half way along, asked for a little assistance and promptly got submerged by the bow wave from the discovery that came to his aid.
Ultimately though many teams did suffer from using bicycle components, there were a lot of chain ans proket failures. Motor bike sprockets and chain procver far more durable.

My wife has allways refered to my fronty as "The Beast" so thats why i had the 666 number plate. It started out as a 2.4i but when the head gasket went we dropped in a 3.2V6 Isuzu lump in it but that run a crank bearing while off road. It now has the 2.8TD Isuzu engine in it and im just trying to find the time to fit an intercooler to it, it goes pretty well for a 2 1/2 ton truck, and its great off road with the addition of a live front axle and those Simex Jungle Trekkers :afro:
Cheers

Tong, I assume??
Mine - called "Dennis" after my late Dad.
Ah, but if it goes wrong, will you not want to swear at it??
Mine tends to receive a variety of names;
1. 'The Truck' (by me)
2. 'Father Jack'(when it's drinking diesel)
3. 'RatMobile' (by 'small-child')
4. 'Mud-Rat' (by Meda, one of my lovely collegues)

how did you get the landy up side down in a ditch ?
-
Wet grass in summer is like ice...
It fell in really slowley, and only tipped over. The pic makes it look really dramatic, but it wasnt!
The front passenger A pillar took all the force, bent that, pushed the roof over, bent both doors, and dented the wing.
There is a weld on the windscreen surround that split, and put a dent in the top of the bulkhead.
To be honest, it wasnt that bad at all.... My old insurer had some small print that in the event of an accident OEM parts have to be used to repair. LR Doors, Roof and wing pretty much came to the value of it, plus the labour made it 'uneconomical to repair' :(
