Title: Freelander TD4 clutch how easy to change?

As it says above has anyone on here changed the clutch on a TD4 freelander how easy is it, any pitfalls,how long to do it?

I'm told its a bit of an arse because you need remove the IRD first. Also make sure you change the Slave cylinder at the same time as it's inside the bell housing and is a combined release bearing and slave cylinder.
That said when it's time for mine to be done I'll be doing it.

Dealers guide is 6-8 hours@£50 an hour + parts, thats al ot of cash.

Yep just been quoted an eye watering £645 + the dreaded, and if the dual mass flywheel needs replacing thats another £320.......how do i know if this is jiggered?

doing the job aint that bad

geting the roll pin out of the gear linkage is a pain

the IRD comes off reall easy its just very heavy.

the fly wheel shouldnt be esy to move in its self cant remember what the measurment would be but if its got a load of play its knacked
