can someone please help me
iv been told that on the freelander for wireing up towing electrics that there is a quick fit plug inside the vehicle could some one tell me the location of this plug (to save me ripping everthing out to find it) :roll:
its a w reg 1.8 3 door model thanks

I've just bought a tow bar for the TD4 with a dedicated wiring kit. I believe the plug is behind the trim on the RH side, but I'd need to get the instructions from the kit to be sure. I won't get up to the workshop until the weekend though. If you don't get a positive answer by then, I'll let you know.

Depending on which flasher relay came out of the parts bin when it was built you may possibly need to change it to one that suports the trailer function (directly replaces the original). The original will operate the trailer board fine however you won't get the warning light working on the dash without it. I know cos I had to change mine. I'll post the Part number later ok.
And yes the plug is behind the OS rear trim panel.

Oh well, I won't rush around confirming the location!!! Thought we'd get others confirming :D
My wiring kit came from Towsure and is complete with a replacement relay.

iv also gotten a plug for a caravan any advice to the fittment of this as havent done one before. thanks

ment to add what battery for a split charge setup
i will require it to power the caravan and also to use with a winch when i get stuck offroad
