just one of those things - mind churning over coming back from london today - what is the wheelbase of a LWB freelander??
I havea cunning plan :D:D:D:D
-
I think that the wheelbase is the same on all the Freelander variants, 5 door and 3 door.

which is???????????//
-
overall length 4380mm
wheelbase 2557 mm
Come on, what's the idea?
-
Vectra freelander hybrid ?
-
so 102" then :D:D:D:D:D
well
it all started when i saw a dead freelander for £650 and a discovery 200tdi with knackered body for £400....are you getting the drift??

My version of blackbobs ANIMAL..:D:D
still in the planning stage - and until funds allow, will have to stay that way too

I think there's also some good video of the Adrian's FreeRanger on the BORC site too!
One of the mags (was it LRM?) did a feature on it a while back if you want to do some research.

North Off Road are producing a space frame set up with Freelander panels that goes onto a RR/Disco chassis....

just a thought, you know what its like when your sat in traffic :D
saw a freelander next to a disco , and got the thought process going.
body off the disco chasis - dry fit..make mountings etc. and Voils!
should also make a freelander look TOUGH!
-
102" then
2 557 millimeters = 100.669291 inches, according to Google!
What's one and a half inches between friends?
-cough-
Cheers

I always thought it was (roughly) 100" too.
Depends on the amount of weight you put on em really, as this can affect how the motor "sits" on the wheels in final trim compared to bare chassis
Cracking idea though
