Hi what are the biggest mud tyres I can fit to a Terrano 2 that is completely standard suspension wise, and where are the best suppliers, car has standard steel wheels at present, thanks
-
Standard wheels come in 2 width. Early ones may have 6" steels on, all the rest are 7" wether alloy or steel.
If on 7" wheels then the biggest you can get on are 31/10.5/15s - but it does vary a bit brand to brand. Remoulds in particular can be a bit bigger than new tyres. YOu may have to remove your front mud flaps to get em on.
Also has your front suspension been reset to standard. These trucks all sag with age and need the torsion bars winding up to relevel them - do this first you've no hope with bigger tyres if the front end is too low and you'll be loosing clearance too. My last one was 40mm down on standard - and I've seen them much worse than that on the road.

Thanks for that I will check the bars first, only has 215x15 tyres at the moment and it looks like it needs help. Need a mud tyre for work so need something decent any recommendations, thanks for the help

if on 215's it may only be on 6" steels then - 31s are a bit wide for them really you'd be better of sorcing some more rims really.
