hi from the beautiful reaches of temperate sunny birmingham :)
was pointed at here from another forum by Disco_Matt as i have questions, thought i'd best introduce myself first..

so yeah, that's Groke.. posting a picture of the car as it's slightly more photogenic that i am, until the engine broke it was possibly the loudest 2door RR around (perkins 4236 and about 8 inches of exhaust pipe :D ) but now the engine is an ex-engine and i'm looking for ideas as to what to do with it, currently trying to decide between rebuilding the perkins or replacing with a 200tdi (if i can find out how to put the engine in but keep the longstick gearbox?)
my family has a long history of landrovers, had my first taste of driving in a 109 in a farmyard, father and brother between them own almost 6 landys but this the first one i've owned myself
so yeah, erm.. *waves* hi :D

heh yep that's a bamford's #1 sawbench.. from the late 1930's i think:

rescued from deepest darkest wales, it's a two speed pto driven one made to work behind a stationary engine or a tractor pto, i've since stripped it down, repainted it in bamfords colours and it's being used as a workbench in my garage (without the 24inch sawblade of course :D )

And a Fergie behind it in that picture  There are some Fergie owners on here, Carbore and me, anyway. Both get used properly. Not museum pieces! Looks like yours is used too :D

ahh no, that picture is from when i picked it up in wales.. the guy i bought it off was living in an farm cottage 1/2 a mile away from the main road (edit: just remembered, he was off the a482 out of Llanwrda.. "main road" is a bit of a misnomer :D) down a cart track with a ford in it, and he was making a living sourcing things like my sawbench from agricultural clearance auctions and ebaying them
really nice guy and a really nice home, but the RR was definately useful that day ;)
