Live in an old house with old-fashioned style door handles - as in the ones which you screw onto the bar which goes through the door, rather than the crummy modern ones which you screw the handles directly onto the door which look really ****.
Anyway - the screw on the front-door handle has rusted through so the handle has come off - I've replaced it with one of the screws from an internal cupboard door so no problem there.
Looking to replace the original screws though (and have a bundle of spares in case it happens again) - turns out they are 3/16 whitworths.
Visited various small hardware & components shops - more likely to have them than Halfrauds or B&Q - but no joy.
Anyone got any ideas where I'll be able to source these from?
Cheers,
Z~

failing those let me know. I have a mate who his hobby is anything old and mechanical and the things holding it together. He can tell the size of a screw thread from just looking at it, he is that sad! If no joy, let me know and I will ask for you.
