There's one on Fleabay Buy it now £4500!! and it's got an 86 2.5n/a diesel engine in it? funnily enough He claims that DVLA made him change the plate to an age related D plate when he changed the  engine.

if you want something cheaper than a defender go for a series 109 (series 3, 2, 2a probly best) or the hi-cap one , not the most comfortable of rides though if your doing long jorneyes lol :D

i was either thinking to get a cheap as chips 4x4 and trailer to events

or buy a ex Military vehicle like this one and use for Advertising also.

But do pay site let in Large 4x4s ?

i dont mind spending a bit more if it needs nothing doing to it to go off road.

Merc made a 4x4 version of one of their vans (sprinter IIRC) which as I understood it used G wagon axles. Not sure too much on the details, I only came across it once browsing another forum.

Hey Brian,

A Fourtrak fieldman would pretty easy to mod, there are lift kits and other stuff out there for them, PM Fudge who has a 4trak, maybe he can tell who, where, how much??
plus there in the same price & performance bracket as Vitara's and with the fieldman it's a 4x4 van - goodtimes if you are gonna put it through the business.

Or if you fancy sticking with Nissan maybe look at a Terrano swb van? they seen to be good value for money but i'm not certain how easy they would be to mod.

Phil
