Title: Streamlining
Post by: Bush Tucker Man on November 26, 2004, 23:21:54
It wasn't just railway locomotives that underwent encasement in the 1930's.
This wonderful era of 'Art-Deco' produced some wonderful designson 4 wheels as well.
And it wasn't just cars, but vans also grew  streamlined (http://www.heritagecommercials.com/current/feature3.htm)

I saw this feature in the magazine 'Heritage Commercial' this week.

Isn't it a gorgeous vehicle??
Just right for the period & surprisingly British - not American (well,
Scottish)
the pocket-sized version (http://spacroftmodels.co.uk/holland_coachcraft_van.htm)

Doesn't it look like it's a real-life rendition of the vehicles in the animated 'Batman' (http://www.batmantas.com/) that's on SKY-One(106) on a weekday morning at 07:30
That's very 'Art-Deco' in its graphic style  -but dubbed 'Dark-Deco' by the producer. Watch it & see.
