Title: Propshaft which way round ?

Hi............Can any one tell me if fitting the front propshaft the other way round ie with the spline slip section at the Diff end instead  of the T/Box end will cause any problems............I have been told that if you have play in the front output on the T/Box, reversing the prop will cut down on noise and vibration....?

Without wanting to seem too abrupt, the best thing to do is sort the transfer box out.  If you try to mask the problem, then it will inevitably lead to something worse.

Wandered has recently done the front output bearing on his, and will be able to give you some tips.

this wouldnt be the same Tbox that to stop the leak on the front output was connected via the breather to the inlet manifold???????????

slidy bit closest to  the t box
but sort the issue out first :)

As I have just replaced the UJ's it was worth a shot, but it makes things worse the other way round, In an ideal world I would like to get the T/Box rebuilt but as the cheapest I have been quoted is 1000 euros for the whole job, so it will have to wait for a while.
