You know its going to be *one* of them days when you get to the dartford tunnel and.......its then it dawns on you that you,ve left your wallet on the kitchen table
my kitchen table at this point was roughly 50 miles south of my current position and i also need to put diesel in the van and i,m due on site in the next 45min  the other side of the crossing
so off at junction right on the crossing and hammer down south again  i cant tell you the language going on in my van as this is a family forum but the full 130 of mr VW,s finest horses were being used along with gear changes sebastien loeb would have been proud of on the windy bits and i finally got on site at 11am
hopefully tomorrow will go better

And the moral of the story is....
Always check the kitchen table before closing the front door....

i have post it notes round the kitchen for the morning  on the plus side the site i,m on has a landy graveyard i,m going to try and have a look at tomorrow :D
right off to bed to lie awake worrying about the alarm not going off at 5am

and don't forget to look behind the cornflakes box....

to lessen your embarrasment somewhat, i left my wallet at home and only realized after i'd fuelled the car

Then the darn garage wouldn't take my solo card so i had to walk to a cash machine to get the money out, that was just annoying. :x
Please say i'm not the only one to have done this

I had a run up to stockton one day from Nottingham, the boss rang me in the evening telling me where I was going and when I had to be there
Off I went in the morning up to stockton, looked at the address and couldn't find the street on the map in
Rang the boss and said I couldn't find it in Stockton, he than said what you on about You should be in Stockport!
I should have checked the invoice, at 4 in the morning with blurry eyes, instead of believing him on the phone the previous evening, we discussed this to a great length when I got back

i was out in my van, had to make a detour somewhere(?), went down this road and come to a small toll bridge, it was only 25p to cross, but i had no money, so i searched the whole van and my toolbox and came up with 17p, so had to turn around and go the long way round

I always try and keep a fiver in the car somewhere for when i forget my wallet.
Its funny how you generally forget it on the day when you need to fill up or need to buy something - most days i dont actually need my wallet.
