Title: Isle of Skye
Post by: V8MoneyPit on January 01, 2010, 16:55:41
Well, some of you will know that, after a 2 year build my LR90 was MOT'd 2 weeks before Chrstmas. So we took it on a little test drive.... from Norfolk to the Isle of Skye! Please excuse the long post, but here are a few pictures.....

Rather than take the A66 across the country, we took the interesting route through the Yorkshire Dales. This is on the Buttertubs Pass....

This is a view over Loch Tulia:

And the stunning Loch Garry:

The harbour of Portree on Skye:

And some pics because they are nice!

We stayed near the Skye bridge where it hadn't been above zero for 10 days. And the night we left, it was down to -15!

Beautiful place although I've not seen it with snow. Thanks for that.

Looks great. That's the kind of wintry scenes we where hoping (and prepared) for on our mini-expedition to John-o-Groats in November but it was as mild as you like.

Great pics, my sister lives down Sleat way and works in Broadford, so get to see the sights myself sometimes!

But you don't have to travel to Skye to get the winter scenes! This is Pembrokeshire yesterday!

Our very own member Duncan Brown has a B&B just outside of Portree.  :D

None! Ran like a train... well, maybe a bit less powerful than a train  Actually, just a failed rear light. Dodgy quality part again!

Did about 1200 miles in all. Came back on new years eve.

I can't do any more pics because my laptop has gained a virus  Got to get that cleared if I can. If I can't I'll have to reformat the hard drive which will loose all the data of course.
