Got a Series 3 lightweight........at long last! Its October 1972 (so tax exempt), Hardtop with lots of rust. Its all complete, and the plan is to restore it, within reason, to its former glory.
Got a spare bulkhead, although the original is probably saveable, chassis is scabby, but again may well be saveable. Had the engine running, and it sounds sweet, just need to get the clutch hydraulics bled and working before I start dismantling. It will need 2 front wings and lights, but most of the rest is OK.
This is my first proper restoration, so any advice welcome.

gotta host the pics on a external site like flickr or picassaweb or such like and then link them into your post

Thanks Saffy, will try that.
Well... bought a spare axle case, should make rebuilding the front axle a bit easier. Clutch master cylinder is seized, get a new one tomorrow.
Will need new front wings, maybe a front panel as well. The headlight bezels look to be different to be standard ones, any idea where I can get these from?
Started to strip bits off it, going to be a BIG job!!

Got the clutch sorted, and it drives!!! Very well in fact, no clunks or horrible noises, and the transmission is all good. So... its crack on with the bulkhead and chassis.

Got some more stripped off today. Rad is very good, top bulkhead piece looks like a new part, along with a new seal! Result!! Roof is off along with windscreen and both wings and front panel.
Will need a pair or wings and a front panel if anyone has some laying around, WHY?
Also considering going to ragtop, so will need all that as well.
