As Peter says it is a VM engine.

The engines are OK, enough power etc.  Expect around 30MPG - more on a run, less if heavy with the pedal.

There is a potential problem with the heads which seem to go after 80/100K miles - especially if not serviced / looked after.  The coolant water needs to be kept clean and flowing.

can the pump cope with 90% ,
thought 60% was the max as veg oil is thicker than diesel?
but i must say 90% without any mods thats good

90% is high but its a bosch pump.

It's what you feel comfortable with, and how much you want to save / how much to repair.

Also like I said it was summer and warm :)

It's a VM engine

Have a look at the top of it ;)

On the near side of the engine, follow the injector pipes back to the pump and it will say Bosch on top of it :)

Also do not just take my word for it - have a look at this website, which is very informative

NZOliver will be paying around $nz 1.30 per litre ... that converts to about 51p in sterling at todays rates  :?

I guess therefore that running it on anything other than straight derv would not be worth the risk of damage to the engine.

Anyone else fancy emigrating ?

I wouldn't be running on veg if diesel was 51p.

But thats probably why mikeH is asking.

been running all my diesels on veg oil`s even my landy`s, but i must say that the 90 doesnt like it much
seems to loose a lot of power, but the jeep seems to run better i get 28-30 on straight derv
and abour 32-36 on 30% mix, may increase it to 50% if  others sat it can handel it
