The side light looks like a front one from a Riley 1.5.

The amber lamp appears to be the 'flat' lens type which would have been used on the back of things like Minor Travellers and Vans, but only sometimes. Otherwise, they would have used the domed lamp as used on the front of the Mini or Series LR.

The fact the fuel gauge shows litres suggests it not *that* old. Smiths offered the 2" instruments on the aftermarket as well as for OE supply, so it may not even be specific to a vehicle.

With that ignition switch having "H" on it I would think it may have come off something Diesel maybe? H being 'heater' for the thermostart or glowplugs.

note: thermostart Not thermostat  :)

Early series L/R posssibly??

(http://www.4wdonline.com/LandRover/Series/S1/PiCs37/1948.dash.jpg)not a particularly clear pic of the ign switch - sorry

Early landys used the flat style lenses too!

The ''H S OFF'' lettering will be refering to the headlight/sidelight switch which is operated by turning the bessel around the outside of the igniton switch.  The actual key switch will simply be an on/off switch.  They were used on both petrol and diesel landys, diesel heating/starting was done by a seperate key switch.  Petrol staters were operated by a seperate button.

Lucas and smiths switches, lights and instrements found their way onto most british vehicles in the 50's so they could be off a variaty of things.
