Title: amazon vx
Post by: remmy7 on September 27, 2008, 18:04:28
Hello all,

Contemplating defecting from my passion for the disco and have been looking at a amazon vx 2000 model with the diesel engine. The question I have is that whilst drooling over a motor that should be more reliable than my 2000 v8 disco I noticed that the amazon had the ride height adjustment switch on the centre console but having left my viewing realised that I hadn't noticed any switches for diff locks. Are diff locks mid and rear fitted as standard or could it be this beast doesn't have them.

Cheers all Remmy7

I thought the diesels got a rear locker. My 01 petrol has traction control rather than lockers but I don't think the diesels got that till much later. The adjustable height suspension can be problematic and some people convert to standard suspension. For a work horse you might be better off without it but for a family run about I like it.
