Title: Rear recovery point for terrano (will work on other makes)
Post by: Jonathan M on November 17, 2006, 14:05:46
After wondering about a decent rear recovery point on my towbar equipped T2 I found http://www.watling-towbars.co.uk/imports.html and e-mailed them about making a receiver type of mount in order to fit a shackle, and this would be fitted to replace the swan neck fitment.

And here it is:

Thats a 3.25 tonne shackle BTW

The principle could be applied to any 4x4 with a swan neck type towbar fitment. Although it looks like it ruins rear departure angle I had the length made to mean that if the vehicle is stuck I shouldn't have to be digging around under it too much to get a tow strop fitted.
