Title: Brushing off the Cobwebs
Post by: landroverkeith on July 04, 2010, 14:29:31
Well as the nice weather is here ive brought the old v8 out down the drive again and did some work with the help of a mate on it yesterday.

One of the carbs was leaking so we took it off and fitted new seals and gaskets str8 forward enough

We replaced 2 fuel lines that the rubber was so old it was brittle as I noticed it was chucking fuel out all over top of the block just need to get a new fuel filter for it

It just wouldnt Start though even tried jumping it from the Disco.. :(

Ive had to order a new coil pack, condenser and points for it though because we couldnt get a spark that was any good from it and the Coil Pack was getting hotter and hotter.

Once shes running again we go back to the brakes to bleed em up and get her ready for mot  :-$ :-$

ooo and the small fact the v8 has destroyed 3rd gear on the box.... so ill need a good 2nd hand box soon lol

Why not just repair the box, they're not complicated.
