Title: Series 3 Door Locks (Xpost from Muddyweb)

Hi,

Does anyone know of better locks that can be fitted in place of the standard Series 3 (1972) basic locks with a rotating hook? I recently had the vehicle broken into by the rear safari door lock being forced with a screwdriver (or similar) i would like to fit better quality locks all round???

Any Ideas???

Those little padlocky attacthments for the garden gate?

Why not take the barrel to a locksmith and ask him "can you make something this shape that isn't [!Expletive Deleted!] ?"

Late series 3s had anti burst door locks which will probably be better, but if they can't force the door lock then they'll just smash a window so I'm not sure it really improves things.

How about a sticker saying

"the door is unlocked and there is nothing worth stealing in here"

Nah, they wouldn't believe you and would still put a window through just to find out.  :?  :roll:
