Title: 48" Farm Jack
Post by: Jonny Boaterboy on January 15, 2006, 20:57:05
Just a quick one.... are farm Jacks as good as High Lift I have a opertunity of a 48" Farm Jack at a good price but I was after a High lift. Also can anyone tell me if all the assesorys that you can get for the high lift fit the Farm Jack? And last but not least... I have a stearing gard on my Range Rover with high lift jacking holes....  do you need a adapotor that fits onto the Farm or high lift jack to be able to use this jacking point

Thanks alot

Jonny

I had a rolsion Farm Jack and it was rubbish, broke it.  I would buy a High Lift or Jackall and will when funds allow.  My uncles High Lift is in perfect nick and 20yrs old.

I've gotta agree with JW generally but having used both Hi-Lift and Jackall,

Jackall's are going on ebay

Having used em' all I believe Hi-Lift are well worth the money

Don't bother with E-Blag as no-one sells a good one secondhand.  Try paddocks as they had them on offer recently.  As for the winch, ty a hi-lift winching kit.

Most but not all accessoried are specific to either one type or the other.  Farm jacks all seem to be a rip-off of the Jackall.  One reason I like the high lift is that you can store it in peices, the 60 inch just fits on the floor behind the seats in the RRC.  Anothe reason if the range of genuine accessories of course.
