Hi
Just picked up a 1990 vogue se
Tyres are 205/16 on 3 spoke alloys but really tyres are well past it
I have a set of 235/75 all terrains kicking around - I know these will be fine height wise but will they fit ok onto alloys
Any help appreciated
Thanks
Kenny
-
they should fit fine on rangie 3 spoke alloys AFAIK
-
Thanks James - would have replied sooner but was working out what AFAIK was - got there in the end !
-
Yes, they fit fine. I run on them but road pattern tread. Can't see that a more agressive tread should be any bother though.--Cheers--Cogs

Interesting size, 225/75 or 235/70 are the usual choice for a Rangie.
-
RRB - just happen to have them left over from my 90 and if they fit will save some money for petrol !
-
RRB, thanks for pointing that out. Mine are 235/70/16's & NOT 75's as I said. Very sorry to V8Kenny about giving cr-p info., hope it didn't mess you about.--Cogs

The rims are no prob, you could get 235/85s on (quite popular) or even a 265 without difficulty but do you jave alift? if not the tread will get close to the bodywork, try cross-axling it on ramps and check before going into the brown stuff.

235/85 on a rangie with no lift will rub the arches.
hence im wanting to lift mine :P
-
No lift - Rangie is completely standard (and in cracking nick)
Only non standard thing is a Warwick Banks handling kit fitted by previous owner - dont suppose this will do it any favours off road !

Perhaps you should consider lifting the body from the chassis.
I do a kit if, your interested PM me. :)

Cheers SS
Will bear that in mind when the time comes to start tinkering !
