This arrived late, but I've been browsing.
What a cracking 90 at the beginning of the magazine!
I'm referring to the Jeremy J Fearn tweeked one owned by the farmer & used to towing his livestock trailer (amongst other things)
The figures make very interesting reading, I've compared them to a 1996 TVR Cerbera out of curiosity
JJF 90;
TD5
233BHP/330 Ib/ft
30-50MPH
3rd = 6.5sec
4th = 4.0sec
5th = 3.5sec
50-70 (5th) = 7.5sec
Cerbera
4185cc Petrol V8
350BHP/320 Ib/ft
30-50MPH
3rd = 2.6sec
4th = 3.6sec
5th = 3.8sec
50-70 MPH (5th) = 4.6sec
Imagine that, a diesel Land Rover that can (to all intents & purposes) keep up with one of Britains best supercars in the mid-range in 4th & 5th gears :shock:
I wonder if SWMBO will let me throw the 110 & some money at Mr Fearn?? :wink:

You can bet the insurance company would have a field s day, remapped, big intercooler, hybrid turbo....haha, they'd be laughing all the way to the bank!
Was nice though, and much more impressive £ for £ than the other one.

Depends who it is...
Sureterm (who I'm insured with) don't mind a big intercooler, modified exhaust etc etc.
Also, depends what you told them :wink:
A hybrid turbo looks completely standard from the outside, and I doubt whether they would check if the ECU had been reflashed!!!!
