I was out around the New Mill/Jackson Bridge/Holmfirth area this morning/afternoon for a little bit of 'laning'
On one of the little sideroads in the area, I stopped suddenly.
There was a beautifully restored Series 1 at the side of the road.
The lady in the garden responded enthusiastically to my gestures of 'thumbs up' as I stopped to look &graciously agreed to my taking a photo.
It has been recently finished & had been in the family for about 30 years, if I heard her correctly.
By contrast, the 90 encroaching into frame had only been in their possession for 5days

Very nice :D - often see old series Landies in Holmfirth, there is normally a couple parked on the left coming down the hill into Holmfirth from New Mill. (And they are green). There is also a house on the right as you drive from New Mill towards the A629 that seems to have quite a collection

Yes, on Station Road, they were both parked there today. I think (don't quote me though) that they could be something to do with Andrew Greenwood (he of the Harrogate LR parts show) he used to have a nice 2A Light-Weight.
Unless I'm totally wrong

That'll be the one on the right (on a rise) as you head towards the Sovereign.
At least 2 Series 1's, a Light-Weight & a Range Rover with the rear off-side panel missing.
All present & correct :D
