I am interested in buying a ex military landy and wondering about the process of re register it for use on UK roads  ?

just send a letter to the DVLA n put all the details about it on and then say ya wanna put it back on the road n they will send ya a paper to sign and thats it

the dvla have to allocate it a proper reg if it was registered as a mil vehicle, as currently it will have no documentation, and possable no chassis no

Make sure you get the military discharge papers, take these with the MOT cert and your insurance certificate to your local dvla office and they'll charge you for road tax and issue a reg number, there's a charge for this too.

Don't let it worry you or put you off the vehicle if it is a good one, I have done it several times now and it is dead easy.
As long as you have the discharge paperwork (and if not why not?) then all you need to do is get it MOT'd & insured (they do it against the chassis number) and then the correct year related plate will be allocated to you at your local DVLA office (not PO).
