Title: 200 Tdi vibration
Post by: Big Rich on June 27, 2011, 12:46:59
K reg 200 Tdi discovery. Totaly standard has developed a vibration when you get to 27 Mph. Faster you drive the worse it gets!!

Steering is perfect, steers exactly where you want it and under heavy breaking she breaks true. No vibration is felt from the transpher or gear leavers. The vibration is fron the dash and the pedals.

What we have done so far -

The wheels were washed inside and out.
Tracking has been done.
Radius arm bushes changed.
Steering ball joints checked.
Trailing arms checked.
Prop shaft uj's checked.
A frame ball joint and bushes checked.
Tyre pressures checked.

Anyone have the solution?

Check the swivel preload and also the inside of the tyres for bulges.....

Did you use normal style bushes on the radius arms or castor correcting versions?

Have you checked your wheel bearings recently?

looking at what you've already done try looking at these areas the spigat bearing in the slider of the prop 's as if this is failing it will put the props out of ballace , also see if the ballance weight has come of one of the props .
