Title: P38 Antenna Mount
Post by: hrh_dave on September 02, 2010, 23:47:54
Hi,

I'm needing to mount two antennas on the vehicle.... Now I'm not wanting to go down the route of mag mounts... And Im reluctant to use stud mounts, has anyone found any other options...

Cheers

Dave

I fitted a set of roof rails from a citroen ZX No drilling required an then have mounted my CB aerial to them, you can just see the aerial on the centre roofbar mount

I'll sort some more pictures out. I have fixed them using the original fixings, I slid back the panels and used a domed bolt, ground 2 edges the bolt then drops into the factory gutter type thing give it a 90degree turn and clamp the rails down. I'll try & remove one so you can get a better idea of what I've done. Welcome to come an see if your local.

I had these rails from when my brother scrapped his citroen, was gonna chuck them so thought what they'd be like for size first, all 3 holes line up just great

Brett

Thanks for the pics, a really big help...

Saffy, I'm not wanting the hassle of removing them every time I stop as magmounts I've found that have a habbit of sprowting legs and running off.....

Cheers all
