Title: Series Brake Servo.
Post by: Bigant45 on March 24, 2010, 16:13:00
Hi, I have fitted a complete second hand Brake Servo Ass'y and Master from a S3 to my S2a. Two servo's later. I have No Servo assistants. The one way valve works and also the pump.
Is it time too buy new. I am just concerned that it may turn out the same.
Cheers.

Hi,ive had this problem many time and to be honest ,get a new servo for £46 and while your at it replace the master with one from a long wheel base(converting to single line) as it has a 1 inch bore in stead of 3/4 giving better brakes and only costs £20 instead of £56 for dual, you will then have good brakes for years.

Do you have vacuum at the pipe leading into the servo?

Then you must have been unlucky with two bad servos, or you have fitted them wrongly!

You cant really do anything wrong with a fitting a servo apart from having a faulty one.Just bite the bullet n go for a new one.
