I had a P Reg one exactly the same mate, watch for rust developing in the front and rear arches as it can lead to MOT failure. Also don't lift it too much as it puts a hell of a lot of pressure on the front CV joints and they dissintegrate off road, I had 5 go on mine in 18 months !!!!!

What lift did you have? and did you fit diff lowering brakets? as i havn't ordered any yet.

hi rob
looks a decent base for a good toy
before you do venture off road get hold of some manual free wheeling hubs
less strain on front drivetrain while on tarmac and if you do blow anything on the fornt axle you can get home with no issues

Looking at your picture with the young lad in, I'm pleased to see that I'm not the only one who has that problem. Trees. Seriously, how does something rooted to the ground move so much! One minute everytrhing is fine, you're on the perfect line then.....BANG.... normally followed by a "where the hell did that come from!!"
-
What suspension did you fit??
-
Damm trees, i went for bits 4 vits spring and shock spacers lwb rear springs and shocks and a la supertrucks 3' body lift so far so good did have astra rear shocks but it was far to soft, it needs bigger tyres, but i keep looking at jimnys!
