so the rear disc pads are nothing to do with the hand brake??? just for the record its a cracking motor to drive but the problems my mates had with it would put me right off having one, and thats comming from a p38 owner ha ha

yea nothing what so ever its like a drum rear break for the hand break with a disk welded on to the out side for the foot break  the rrsport has this system as well sa the disco 3 both of them work on  a switch
the merc sprinter has that systerm as well as the mitsy shogun mk 2  they are just a few i know of

One of the reasons I choose to drive a LR is that it will outlast many other cars on the road several times over.  Land Rover's attitude to parts support over the last couple of years however has made this very difficult, perticulalry their decision to scrap body panels because people won't/can't pay £400 each for them.  If I have to swap my car every 10 years becasue I can't buy the parts I might as well go back to driving a Ford, so even if I had the money I probably won't buy a TAT-a.

Knowing how you drive :-#, you would absolutely LOVE a Focus.  Only thing is, it wouldn't pull your caravan
