Title: head lights blowing fuses

hi guys just bought a cherokee drives fine but on the way home lights went so changed the fuse after about 30secs blew again is there any common faults that cause this    cheers    jo

for some reason the 3 pin plugs on the back of the headlight bulb are prone to corrosion, i had to replace them on my old cherry!!

sounds like one of them is shorting out, give them a check!!

While you are checking the bulbs, make sure that someone hasnt fitted "uprated" bulbs. The Cherry's loom / circuits dont like them without an upgrade to the loom ;)

check the block connector, beside/underneath the airfilter box ;)

cheers guys took a look at the three pin plug as suggested and noticed a new earth was put in from the wing when i checked were it went they had connected it to the live on the bulb :roll:. so guess what i now have lights.
