Title: V8 4.0 Camshaft sensor??
Post by: johnte on July 18, 2009, 21:26:42
Can anyone tell me where it is...... Also if it was faulty would it cause engine to run rich?

The diagnostic printout says injectors are opening for 7.2ms and should be 3ms, it suggests camshaft sensor could be the problem. Anyone else had this problem?

I think there'd be an appropriate fault code if the cam sensor was missing pulses.  I believe its stuck in the timing cover, left side??

Check for other more likely causes? ... inactive O2 sensor, engine or air temp sensors, MAF (although they usually under-read, not over)
