Title: Grand Cherokee tyres
Post by: sardonicus on June 29, 2009, 20:55:45
Evenin'all,  been a bit quiet on here lately ,so heres a query on tyre sizes for a '97 (zj ?).
I need some new tyres ,   the ones that were on there when I bought it have lasted quite well, but theyre over £100 a corner to replace !   225/70 r16 . So I've been looking at 225/75 r16's as they seem to be more widely available and a variety of makes ,and cheaper prices.
The 225/70's used to catch the wheelarch liner on the front ,'till I adjusted the stops, so will I need to do this again with 225/75's ? as it already has the turning circle of a battleship !

Maxxis tyres offer excellent value, lots of us are using them now I bought 33" (285/75 R16) Mudders for £85, of course smaller sizes/more popular sizes are cheaper. They perform very well, both off and on road.

Hope this helps, Maf
