Title: No Reverse
Post by: zulublue on December 24, 2007, 00:24:08
Hi all ,help needed please.

been off roading today at Kingsbury, good day no problems, I then went to Packington ford for a wash off ended up on some old lumps of tree for a twist.

Reversed down and drove up the road and decided she needed another dip, went to reverse and got nothing, 1st to 5th are ok just on reverse, I did not have my wading plugs it was it was a spur of the moment thing.

Any advice please.

Mark.

i had the same problem not so long ago, the problem with mine was that the housing that held the selector was full of water and rusted shut, just emptied it, sprayed loads of wd40 and worked it loose and it was fine after that

It's not rusted shut as I was using it for hours before it happened, but thanks for the feedback

Is it an R380, or an LT77?

Does the stick move past the spring bit you can feel when putting it into reverse?

All sorted, I dont know what the bit is called, it was the bearing in like a pin switch that had gone faulty, seemed to be slipping and jammin the pin.
