Anyone help me,recently got my wheels balanced because of shuddering at about 65 MPH,this seemed to have solved the problem. But now if on the motorway or a good road if i hit a really bad hole or bump the near side front wheel really bounces badly vibrating the car,ir this a suspension problem ie: springs or dampers. This is on a 1998 cherokee jeep sport 2.5 turbo diesel.
-
Is there any mud on the inside of the wheel?
-
No they are a brand new set of Alloys, but it cant be them either as it happened with the old steel wheels. At times the vibration can be quiet violent.

Err need to bow to greater knowledge then...

Hi there. I would say you have a knackered shock or even a worn out hub.
-
i believe you have experienced the DEATH WOBBLE scary is it not!!
you will need to check all joints and bushings, also the pinion angle, wheel tracking and lastly the steering damper.
good luck,
peter henry
