Title: Mitsubishi Challenger 2.5TDi-Off roader???
Post by: toger on January 22, 2005, 15:31:16
A friend of mine owns one of these trucks and I was having a look at it as it was parked next to my Discovery.
It seemed a rather nice vehicle, especially the totally leather interior.

I was just wondering, do/can this truck go off road? can it be lifted? snorkel etc etc.
If anyone does know I would be interested in the answers.

Regards
Toger

Im sure explorer pro comp do suspension for the chalenger as for a snorkle im not sure but i will ask about but with leather seats do you realy want to go into deep water? they will off road but its the same with the other mitsi's correct me if i am wrong but they have that stupid torsion bar front end set up which restricts the articulation when you are doing the serious stuff but on most green lanes ect it will be fine.

Talk to the Ozzies... (Anyone remember the URL for their forum)

They mod "Proper" offroaders... :)

Seriouosly, they tend to do more on the Jap motors than anyone else I can think of. But I'd go for the 2.8 or if they do the 3.5V6 Petrol in that version get that. Any reason for the Sport? just curious as the full blown Pajero is pretty damn good.... just hope you have deep pockets for any big lifts as it's independant suspension. so you start replacing lots of bits ro get it above 2" or so lift. Saying that, they are pretty good in standard form too....

I own one of these butes, nice on or off road. Whether they are nicer than the Paj or not, I dunno, not been in a Paj. Take a look at

http://mudpics.serveftp.net

and the Yorkshire Dales bit, thats mine doin a bit of green laning in the old contryside, good fun and not stuck once :)
