Title: RANGE ROVER WITH NO FORWARD GEARS

Hi everyone i have just been given a y reg auto 4.0 V8 range rover to look at ,it got stuck in the mud the other day but since been recovered it has no forward gears only reverse  :? does anyone know if the box is completely shot  :cry: or is it something else.
Any comments welcomes  :D

Auto or Manual, no matter, you will need a new one.

have got the same trouble with mine

My Autogearbox is now only able to select reverse. Why?  
Your A clutch (forward drive) has failed and you will require a replacment autobox.

Second hand ones can be had for sensible money, these things either work or are f***ed as you've found so there's less risk of buying a lemon.

Hi guys thanks to everyone just as i thought then.Not bad considering its got over 260,000 miles on the clock :shock:
