This once great forum should be put to sleep . Come on Thrasher ......... Let it rest in peace ...
-
Why would you want to do that Jas?
-
Everytime I tune in Frank , nobody home , Amazing how its fell from grace :(
-
I know what you mean Jas but if you remember it was originally taken down for supposed improvements but I think the guy that was running it got fed up with it and instead of handing it back to Thrasher, he wanted to kill it.
I admit that it was offline for so long that most of the membership fell away and went elsewhere, I personally come on the site at least twice a day but I don't own a 4x4 anymore so I cant contribute first hand.
We do still have monthly meetings locally and a few of the die-hards still show up and it would be good to organise more local meets around the country again.
I think that in general the off-roading scene has declined so much though and formerly eager people have done something else due to costs and family commitments.
Personally I don't want to see the demise of the club, I have had many hours of fun and met some really interesting people through it.

It's not the site it once was - but I'm sitting now with a group of mud-club EE's at our monthly meet which is still ever month regular as clockwork
-
I do still pop in from time to time and have a look round
-
It is still a resource - so no, it won't be put down!

Good......

Sorry I didn't speak up earlier, I was in the pub with Timmy.
I think most on line forums have suffered, like most of my students it's all about instant contact via an array of social media. There are still a significant number however who stay in touch and enjoy the sense of belonging, albeit to a very quiet club. At the moment.

to be honest i come on at least twice a month but i never see anyone posting anything. I believe this is the first post this year which is bad considering we already pass half way though the year. iv just recently moved from milton keynes to Northampton so i am looking for a club to join so i can go do some green laning in a good sized group. will people from here be going to the billing offroad shows this year?????
-
Im still here.... just very occasionally.
Having moved away for 10 years and then moving back to the area i grew up in there doesn't seem to be much going on locally except for the xtreme challenge truck group who have the occasional meets. I been to one or two but its a different bunch of people who are very clicky. Makes it difficult having fun when you go on your own.
I really do miss this forum. Seems everything is on FB Groups now which people probably find easier.... but I'm not one of them.
*Holds lighter up*
