Title: Portal Axles

I received my copy of 'LRW' through the post this morning. The cover has a 'G4' orange Discovery on it.

No big deal. BUT, it's running on portal-axles & a rear-steer kit, then to top it all it's on Simex 35" tyres.

The kit is the Australian Maxi-Drive items

The rear-steer has been around for a long time, I've got a copy of 'LRO' (or 'LRW') with it in from about 7years ago somewhere.


Looks damn good kit, it's very well made as well.


Buy a copy of the mag. or at least read it in WH Smiths :)

Cool. Also google for mogrover. It's a V8 SII (not the disco type...) with unimog portals.

Can't afford to buy LRW here so I need to drool at the local ones.

Major fun & games to get that sort of thing road legal here. But I'd like to make one for the engineering challenge.
