Title: 2inch body lift
Post by: ross_lewis on June 08, 2009, 15:30:08
Hi all, I'm thinking of doing a body lift on my lwb frontera, will I need to modify any of the brake pipes etc or is it a simple case of just fitting the kit and away you go? Possibly be doing a suspension lift afterwards. Need the body lift first so that I can fit some 285/70/16s that I've just aquired!
Many thanks
Ross

Should be ok, just watch the brake/clutch lines on the bulkhead where they attach to the chassis. If its an early model viscous fan you will need renove the radiator cowling  ;)

Also the earth wire behind the filler pipe for the tank (little [!Expletive Deleted!] which will be caked in mud), make sure that has some freedom else if it snaps there's nothing to reattach it to, it'll all be rust. It's on the body behind the cap for the tank.

Hi one of mate's done a 2" body lift on his 2.8 LWB and just had to unclip the pipes that run along the top of the bulk head and everything else was ok.
