Title: Advice?
Post by: BigSi on August 12, 2007, 15:24:24
Looking to buy a 1986 Landrover 90 with a truck cab. It has Range Rover axles, and a 3.5 V8 (did have 2.5). Good chassis, bulkhead, and rear cross member. It also has a roll cage and a 4” lift.

Is there anything particular that I should be looking for (apart from the dreaded corrosion?). What kind of price should I be looking at?

Any help would be great!

The main thing I'd be looking at is how well the engine conversion has been done - is it a bodged together affair, or done using standard parts (so looks factory - and easy to get spares) and done to a high standard.

4" lift... bet that handles well   ....

The work was done to a high standard using Range Rover parts and the LT77 gearbox. As the guy has finished this one, he is moving onto a new project.

Out of interest, how do you keep things secure in the back of a truck cab? If you wanted to go away on holiday, where do you put it all?  :-k  :-k  :-k  :-k
