Title: Help with noise
Post by: Richyb on April 28, 2005, 21:07:38
Hi.
Can anybody help me. I run a 98 xedi, and have owned it since last August. In that time i have noticed there is a strange sort of vibration noise coming through the dash board.  This happens as i asselarate and than it fades away when i reach about 40-50 mph.  I have tried to get it fixed but to no luck.  Mind you we thought we had done it on its last service but then it came back again. Its not loud bet it can sometimes spoil my enjoyment of my landy.
Cheers Richyb

What has already been tried ?  If you've already been through some options it might help to avoid too many "I've already tried that" replies ;-)

best thing is to take to any tyre place and get tracking checked, most places should to free check ad get balance checked on wheels try local tyre dealer not main dealer. sounds like steering as been in one with knackered gearbox and viscus unit and they vibrate through your back side.

not only could it be balancing or tracking but most freelanders that i see have either out of shape or uneven wear on their rear tyres, once these have been changed noise and vibration vanishes. ](*,)
