Need a new cv joint for me rangie, but dont know what splines the front axle has.
Its a 1989 3.9 vogue se with the viscous doofer transfer doofer setup!
-
Order the joint by chassis no.
Is it ABS, on air or springs?

It is ABS, but i know the rear axle has it disconnected, its also on springs and not gas.
Dont know what the chassis number is off the top of me head as its downstairs and cant be arsed to see lol, but on paddocks site it offers 10 or 24 spline and doesnt give any information other than its one of them 2

 not good.

the brakes work normally at the back, its just had the abs stuff taken off
-
How can this work? has it still got the ABS on the front?
-
right
is the drive flanges thin & flat & held on with a 17mm bolts or are they domed & held on with 14mm bolts
also is it vented front discs?
-
dont know to all of them, am trying to find out without having to take it all apart, cos it still works for now, its just something i know is on its way out.

all you have to do is look under it n see if it has vented front brakes,
if it has it "should" be 24 spline,& if it snt it "should" be 10

Didn't know that, are all vented disk models 24 spline then or just ABS as my experience is that precious few were 24 spline.
That said they tended to be older cars.
