Title: how to lift a pinin?!?!

Does anyone here know of a lift kit for a pinin?! my mate has 1 and nearly killed the clutch trying to keep up with me down the lanes yesterday. Just no clearance whatsoever. Cheers?

I had one for a while and they are bloody useless. As far as I know you can't lift them at all.

the ground clearence was useless, sold it and bought a Jimny

lmao, loving the replies here lads.. My mate had a jimny a few years ago... missed having 4x4 so bought the pinin  :clap: gone the wrong way round :D my freelander on MT's kept leavin him behind the other day... Its all good.

Of course it can be lifted !!!

Just make sure you widen the track at the same time, they look pretty unstable at the best of times.

I did have a quick rummage on Google but nobody seems to make a kit. Odd really, given the popularity of the Shogun/Paj/Delica and also that of the little Suzukis for modding and off roading I'd have thought someone would have come up with some goodies for the Pinin (as it's a Mitsubishi about the same size as the Suzukis).

Torsion bar and coil I presume?  Separate chassis?

Take a few measurements, get some spacers run off on a lathe, or speak to a coil spring company and have some custom coils made (about £130 a pair), with a chassis, make a body lift for it, adjust the torsion bars... hardly rocket science.

If it's independent front and back then it's hardly going to stop it being able to lift.


Just because you can't walk into a shop and buy a lift kid doesn't mean you can't lift it !

can do it dobinsons do springs front +rear kyb shocks have spring plate welded on higher lifts about 40 mm ,struts let you use larger tyres,take it your mate did not have low box ,leda will make struts to your own spec,dont nock if you dont no.it works  have done it. :lol:

look on the Russian Pajero Club site... there's a guy there who has totally modded his Pinin... it's awesome and will go absolutely anywhere!

Just testing the water my Pinin selling due to needing a diesel 4x4 for towing and my Pinin is ant man enuf she has 2.5"lift kit all round much higher..5 brand new all at tyres.new brakes+dicks all round. 103000 miles ..black with leather interior .air con.wheel arches respayed and modded fat boys put on reluctant sale but have no choose may px for right 4x4 diesel or just sell 😀😀if there's interest I'll put pics on
