Title: Air Con 98 Grand Orvis
Post by: harleyfatboy on July 20, 2006, 14:35:24
can anyone please advise. I had the air con system recharged about 9 weeks ago, i was told there may be a small leak, it could take weeks or months to loose pressure, anyway cold air has stopped blowing and it only seems to blow warm air at coldest setting. so i bought a recharge kit thinking that it would need a top up. When i connected the gauge (came with the kit) the needle went into the red which indicated about 75psi (showing overpressure) It sounds like the system has shut down as i cannot hear the compressor. Not sure what to do or to check. can anyone advise what to check for  or recommend anyone in the Cumbria UK area

Looks like the system has shut down due to high pressure, can anyone advise what may cause high pressure, there are no fault codes showing on my air con, i have checked all the basics  ...loose wires etc removed all debris, would it help if i rodded the drain tube?

Have you tried an air con specialist from the yellow pages?
