I bought a front a bar for the Navara D40, and the front fixings were way to low. Bent them on a green lane.
So what i did was cut down the front lower fixings by 50mm. Thus raising up the A Bar 50mm
You need a Hacksaw and a migwelder to carry this out and took me about 1 hour to do.
I also did this without taking the complete A bar off, i did one side at a time.
50mm isnt much, but its better than it was. At a real push 60mm can be achieved, but im not re doing it just for 10mm

ypu can now see the top of the A bar from the drivers seat, which makes you feel good  and it gets more respect ;)

........................ the 2 L-shaped bars that go into the front grille, are they bolted to the fixing by the top of the rad with 2 x 10mm nuts (not supplied)?
-
yep the 2 stainless bits of flat bar, bolt to the rad fixings using the 10mm bolts.
I think you undo the existing ones and screw them back on.
