Title: Cherokee judder
Post by: JeepJan on September 02, 2007, 22:00:19
I have a 2.5D Cherokee and it has started juddering. Its not the steering as it seems to come from the rear end. Its starting to worry me.
It seems worse at low revs. Any ideas please!!

it's possible the lsd in the rear axle is at fault, try to change the oil and don't forget the additive,  then see if that works.

whats the milage? TD's have a plated LSD that goes after 60-80k miles, about £250 to rebuild it. But try the oil first as suggested

Its done 82,000 miles. When I drove down from Scotland last week it also had a funny smell. I was told its probably the diff as there not meant for long distance. When changing the oil in the diff whats the additive mentioned?
